These three documents explain what we believe and how we expect members to conduct themselves.

Restrictions for Membership

HOTR places the following restrictions on our membership:

  • At least one parent of each HOTR family must read & sign our Statement of Faith each year.
  • All family members must read & sign our Standard of Conduct each year.
  • HOTR requires that families with school-aged children must have at least one school-aged child who is currently being home educated.
  • In families where all children are below compulsory school age, the family must be intending to home educate their children when they reach school age. (We are not a preschool program.)
  • Families with any school-aged children enrolled in a charter (or community) school, including those where instruction takes place in the home, may not join HOTR.  (This restriction does not apply to home-education correspondence programs.)

Fees

The basic fee to join Home on the Rock is $30 per family per year. (Optional fees that a family may choose to incur include purchasing discounted subscriptions, purchasing a yearbook, and various fees for optional classes which charge a fee.)

New Member Meetings

We require that at least one parent from each interested family attend one of our New Member Meetings. These meetings are held on various evenings throughout the year.

At this meeting, we will review in more detail all the opportunities Home on the Rock offers to members.  Applications to join HOTR are only given to families who attend one of our new member meetings.
