Welcome to the website for Home on the Rock Christian Home Educators.  HOTR is based in Grove City, Ohio and currently serves over 240 home-educating families in the central Ohio area.

Statement of Ministry

Home on the Rock Christian Home Educators is a not-for-profit Christian volunteer organization comprised of families. We are serving one another in order to enable us all to better educate and lead our children as God has directed us. We acknowledge that God is the inspiration and guiding force behind what we do, and all glory belongs to Him.

A limited number of tables are available, so reserve your table today.

A $1.00 love offering will be collected from all guests and vendors for the church as a thank you for allowing us to use their facilities. Doors will open for set up at 8:00 AM.

Notification Workshop

The regulations under which we home educate require that families with children between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age notify the superintendent of their school district annually of their intent to home educate.

HOTR co-hosts an annual workshop to assist families in completing the notification process.

WHO: This workshop would be of benefit to any parent who has never completed the notification process. Any parent intending to home educate is welcome to attend.
Note: We regret that children cannot be accommodated at this adult meeting. Please make other arrangements for your children. (Nursing babies are always welcome.)

Presenter: Mitzi Smith, Chairman of HOTR and Partner in CMS Education Consultants. The Smiths have been homeschooling for 21 years, they have served as CHEO regional representatives in the past, and Mitzi has served as HOTR chairman for 19 years.
